Cajun Encounters Reservation Policies
- Children ages 3 and under travel free, but must be counted in tour totals. Please mention any infants when booking. Those ages 4-11 years old tour at child rates. Anyone 12 years of age and older must travel at adult rates.
- We must be notified of any cancellation or changes to a reservation within the reservation's cancellation policy. Any notifications made outside of the cancellation policy will be subject to full amount due.
- Reservations made within 36 hours of tour time are final
- Reservations made more than 36 hours prior to the tour time must cancel with at least 36 hours' notice in order to receive a full refund.
- All balances due for City & Cemetery Tours and all Plantation Tours must be paid with Credit Card only. Cash will not be accepted as a method of payment for these tours.
- All tours subject to change due to traffic conditions or inclement weather. All tours subject to cancellation. Tours go out rain or shine.
- Website discounts cannot be combined with other offers, including but not limited to printed coupons, prepaid deposits, and discounted group rates.
- Only one discount code may be used per transaction. Tours are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply.
- Your tickets will not be mailed to you. Confirmation email received after payment will serve as your ticket for entry to the tour.

Swamp Tours:
- Please be advised that this is a tour of the swamp and wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
- Tours do go out rain or shine. Please be advised that if you are on your Swamp Tour for 1 hour or more and the boat has to return due to inclement weather, we will not issue a refund.
- Cajun Encounters has both covered and uncovered boats. A covered boat is never guaranteed. They are available on a first come, first served basis
Private Tours:
- We provide a cooler with ice. NO GLASS containers of any kind are allowed. You cannot bring alcohol on public transport buses.
- We are a family oriented touring company & strive for each guest to enjoy our tours to the best of our abilities. At any time, Cajun Encounters (Office Staff, Drivers & Captains) can revoke your drinking privileges if deemed necessary.
Non-Private Tours:
- Alcohol is NOT permitted on the boats or public transport buses.
Guests who choose self-transportation:
- We offer additional parking accross the street. For your safety, please be sure to walk underneath the bridge to get back to the gift shop.
