Celebrate Pride in New Orleans!

New Orleans has long been home to a vibrant queer community. As one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in the entire Southeast, the Big Easy is home to a welcoming and exciting New Orleans Pride festival! While Pride events take place around town throughout the month of June, Faubourg Pride Fest is one of the biggest events in New Orleans for Pride Month.

Faubourg Pride Fest 2023 is scheduled to be held on June 3rd, Saturday, from 12 PM to 8 PM at the Faubourg Brewing Company, situated at 3501 Jourdan Road in New Orleans. This FREE New Orleans festival will feature all the essential aspects of a proper Louisiana celebration – music, food, beverages, and more! A makers’ market will be set up for arts and crafts fans that want to bring some handmade Pride merchandise home with them.

The outdoor beer garden at Faubourg Brewing Company’s buzzing New Orleans East facility is the perfect place for celebrating LGBTQ culture alongside queer community members and allies alike. Although there is no fee for admission to Pride Fest, there will be food and beverages available for purchase on site. It is important to note that bringing outside food or drinks is not permitted. Musical entertainment at Faubourg Pride Fest 2023 will come in the form of DJs and a family-friendly drag show. Faubourg’s great lawn will also provide fun and entertainment with three bocce ball courts, a 9-hole disc golf course, corn hole, giant Jenga, and other yard game favorites. Pride is all about celebrating community, so make sure to bring blankets and chairs so you can hang out with friends on the lawn!

All the money raised from the sale of Pride merchandise at Faubourg Pride Fest will be donated to Forum for Equality, a Louisiana-based organization that advocates for LGBTQ human rights. Since its founding in 1989, the Forum has been hard at work organizing in support of LGBTQ rights in the Bayou State. The Forum’s work includes fighting anti-LGBTQ legislation, building education programs, and protecting public sector workers from discrimination.

Forum for Equality’s accomplishments rest on a fierce commitment to organizing legislators, communities, allies, and partner organizations into action that makes Louisiana a safer and more inclusive place for all. This 501c3/501c4 organization is proud to take part in presenting Faubourg Pride Fest 2023!
